Walleta ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal finance tracking app. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers.

• All your expenses, budgets, categories, currency preferences, and spending history are stored locally on your device only using Apple's UserDefaults.
• We do not have accounts, logins, or user profiles.
• We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.

2. AI Receipt Scanning

When you use the AI receipt scanning feature, your receipt image is:

• Temporarily sent to our secure server, which forwards it to OpenAI's API for text extraction.
• Not stored, saved, or logged on our server or by us in any way. Our server acts as a pass-through proxy only.
• Processed by OpenAI according to their Privacy Policy. OpenAI states that API inputs are not used to train their models.
• The extracted text (amount, date, merchant, category) is returned to your device and never stored externally.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID — no personal information is shared. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

4. Notifications

If you grant permission, we schedule local notifications (reminders to track expenses). These are processed entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to any server.

5. Data Storage & Security

• All app data lives on your device. If you delete the app, all data is permanently deleted.
• We do not use iCloud sync, CloudKit, or any cloud storage.
• We cannot access, recover, or view your data.

6. Third-Party Services

• OpenAI API — receipt image processing (pass-through only, not stored)
• RevenueCat — anonymous subscription management
• Apple StoreKit — payment processing

7. Children's Privacy

Walleta is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
